We had lots of fun with these cute grandkids! Too bad John got so sick! He got food poisening from Quiznos! He was so SICK! Corey asked if the Hulk was in there! Chloe was so FUNNY! She has an attitude! A very strong one at that! Maddie was her usual self, cute and adorable! Corey has such great facial expressions! What great kids! Good job Aaron and Hannah! We love you all!
It was so nice to be with Madeleine at her baptism! We are so proud of you Maddie! We love you so much!

Sunday

Oh what a beautiful morning!

This is the sight I saw the other morning about 6:30 a.m.! Isn't it beautiful! It started snowing Thanksgiving night and it has put down about 6 inches! It is so beautiful here in Colorado! This is the view out our front door. I love the  piles of snow on the trees! Hope your day starts out as beautiful as mine!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Each year our Holidays become something different for us! This year we spent Thanksgiving with John's brother Richard and his wife Shauna in the lovely Estes Park! We had a very enjoyable time with them! Thanks so much for coming! The weather was just perfect and the scenery was so beautiful! Estes Park is only about 2 hours from Elizabeth, so the drive is not bad at all. We spent one day exploring the mountains doing a little hiking and sight seeing, then of course a little shopping! Estes Park is just a little tourist town at the base of the Rocky Mountains. The road over the top was closed and we were so sad! We had our Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday so they could travel home on Thursday. We had SIX pies for the 4 of us! John always insists on ALL of his favorite pies all at once! We played games and laughed A LOT! We really had a great time! Hope you all did too!

Saturday

My brother, Butch, and is wife Diane and their cute daughter, Chelsie were here for a few days from Tucson last week. I got to spend a little time with them. It was so nice to see them. I think it has been about 4 or 5 years since I saw them last! I have never really spent much time with them. He is my brother just younger than me. We went to Estes Park for a day, and the girls and I went to the outlet mall one day! It was so nice to renew family relationships!

I've been busy!

The main bathroom downstairs.

Greg's master suite!
One of the bedrooms!
Since I have had nothing to do this past 2 months I have been painting at my brother Terry's house! He has been here 15 years and everything is still WHITE! We have been saying for a long time we need to had color, but I have never been here long enough! Well here I am! His house is HUGE! Something like 8,000 sq. feet!  It has been fun adding color and making  it look so different! I have painted the bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and the master suite! I think the kitchen is going to be next! I better hurry I only have til Dec. 8th till we close on our HOUSE! It needs painting too!

Trip to Michigan!

It was so much fun to see the Phillips family! I love to go see grandkids! Michigan was very beautiful this time of year. The fall colors with all the trees was awesome! Thank you Brian and Lexie! I had a wonderful time with you!  Miles has grown so much. He loves the bath, when the water comes on he goes for the tub! He also thinks he can walk, he will be standing next to something and he will just turn and let go! He is so ADORABLE!  We did lots of fun things! I got the chance to help in Sophie's classroom one day! It was fun to see her with her classmates. She is getting so grown up! Nora and I had a chance to spend some time together too! She is SO funny! It is always great to spend time with my sweet children! I always hate when the time comes when I have to go home. (sorry John)

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Thursday

The Ingrams!

Finally! The computer is back alive! It has been one month since I went to Emily and Paul's. It was so great to see them. I can't believe it was ONE YEAR since I got to see these  cute little ones! A Naunie should not have to wait that long to see her grandchildren. It is just not right.  It was so much fun getting to know little Olive. She  is SO ADORABLE and always has a sweet smile. Emily was a little stressed out while I was there so I was REALLY glad I was there! We had fun just hanging out with the kids and decorating for Halloween and Olives birthday and sewing a little for the kids, and just playing in the back yard. Lex tried to teach me how to skate board, but I wasn't a very fast learner. Thanks for being so patient with me Lex! Isn't this a cool picture of Lex jumping over a box! We tried several times to get just the right shot! He kept avoiding the camera one morning but I finally tricked him and got this shot of him in the car! Got ya Lex! It is always so fun to have the kids sleep on the living room floor right by me. I love sleeping on Emily's couch! The kids wake up and cuddle with me. Of course I GET to tickle Lex! He loves it and so do I. Indie is such a sweetheart and a great cuddler too! Thanks guys for all the love! I had a great time. We can't wait to see you at Christmas! Oh ya, the last picture is Emily's arm, so I wouldn't mess with her! It's her Johnson genes showing through!

Friday

Home Sweet Home

I have been trying for days to post a photo of our home we are staying in, but our internet is not working so great out here!  We are enjoying our little cabin! It is pretty small, but has what we ned for now. It is great that Terry is letting us stay here for as long as we need too, since we can't seem to find a house that any one wants to sell right now! We have had our eyes on a sweet little cottage in the woods for a few weeks now and we have even made an offer on it.  Now we are just waiting for the bank to decide what they want to do! I guess the house is in the process of being forclosed. With the situation of the things going on in the world nothing seems to be happening! At least not fast enough for us!  So we will continue to wait for the right home to come along that we can actually buy. We are still hoping for this one to come through. We think all of you would like it when you come and visit us here in Colorado! We miss each of you and all of our friends back in Preston. Life is good here and we are doing just fine!

Thursday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETTY LOU!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the woman that has influenced my life most of all! Thank you mom for always being here for me! Thanks so much for the wonderful example you have always been. You are truly an amazing woman. I love you so very much and am so grateful for you and our relationship. Please don't ever change! Thanks for saving my life! Thanks for  your wonderful son! Thanks for accepting my new life and helping me move on.
 I love you Betty Lou!

I have survived!

I can't believe like the rest of you that it has been TEN YEARS since the worst day of my life. Time sure does have an interesting way doesn't it? I often wonder how the same ten years can seem just like yesterday or like it has been an eternity. I thank my Father in Heaven each and every day for each of my children for the love and support they have been to me. We had a wonderful life didn't we! I love to think of the crazy times your dad created for us. All the trips and the "let's go!' times we had. I can't think of happier times any family could have had. We had it all! I am so grateful for those times. They often help me make it through these times. I miss my Cordell so much. I have loved him since I was thirteen years old. I used to go to church and sit by myself only to hope that he would come and sit by me, and he would. He was always so funny and so energetic! Everyone loved him! We had such a great time. I remember the thrill I would get to just have him talk to me or look at me. I remember the smell of him as he would stop by and see me after work at the tire shop, it was kind of stinky! I loved it though. We would have a special relationship every summer. We grew up in the same ward so we spent a lot of time together as youth. Once while on an outing to the dessert he jumped on the rope swing with me and made the swing go the bottom and hit in the sticks, he had the pull a stick out of his rump! I will forever be grateful for the many wonderful things he taught me! How to love the gospel, how to drive a car, how to have confidence in myself, how to be a parent, how to have patience, how to love life, and more than anything else how to love and be loved! How I miss this wonderful man in my life! He always made me feel secure. I will NEVER be the same without him. Thank you my wonderful children and grandchildren for your love and support. I need you all.

Monday

It was a long ride in the Penske truck! Tay got to ride with John and he loved every minute of it! Each time we got out John had to lift Tay into the truck. One time Tay was struggling to get in and John had to really work hard to lift him in, John looked down at his arm and he had a toenail sticking in it! Poor Tay! Poor John! Dog hair was all over the truck, but it was well worth it to have our dog with us! This last photo is the final drive up  the drive way of our new temporary home! It is beautiful here!

Things we will miss!

How we will miss the good 'ole days in Preston, Idaho! Life has been so good to us there! Here are a few things that we miss about this wondeful place! Our wonderful home with the beautiful view. Our great neighbors! Our garden that the deer enjoyed! The wonders of Cache Valley.

Sunday

Moving Day!

The day finally arrived! After two weeks of packing and a lot of stress we finally made it! It has been a crazy couple of weeks! We never could have made it without the help of Aaron and Hannah and the kids! They really pulled us through! They drove ALL night to get here and then worked REALLY hard getting us packed and the house cleaned. THANKS SO MUCH! It was so nice of Emily and Lexie to help Aaron with the cost to come and help us move.  John and I were really grateful for each of you! Thank you so much!  It has been a hard transition and we will miss Preston very much! I'm sure we will adjust! It was nice to have Brett and Angie and the kids come and see us too!

We will miss our beautiful home and our wonderful friends!

We will miss this place!

Well it is time to post about our big move!

For those of you who don't know John has a job change and we will be going to Denver, Co. It is an exciting time for us but a very emotional time also. We live in the house of our dreams and love the people here and everything about our little town of Preston, Idhao! Our families all love it here and we have made some GREAT memories in the short seven years we have lived here! We have worked really hard to get our home and yard to the stage it is in. When we came here there was NO YARD and the basement was UNFINISHED!  I look out at this beautiful place and can't help but be just a little bit proud of our hard work! Our kids have helped so much with different projects and made this your home too. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We have had lots of fun being together and we will miss this wonderful place we all call home!
We hope each of you will remember the great times and forgive us for moving away! I PROMISE our new home in Colorado will become home to each of you also! You have all moved so far away and we don't get to see you enough!  Hopefully this move will allow us to come see you!  We love the memories we have made here and we will miss it dearly! Thank goodness the grasshoppers are REALLY bad right now and I WON"T miss them! (they make me want to move). The deer are eating my garden and I was stung by a wasp! The yard is really full of weeds and it is really dry! Sound like reason enough to move? NOT!

Tuesday

How times flies!

It is amazing to me how summer seems to fly by! It seems like just the other day I was planting the garden and anxiously awaiting the tiny plants to pop out of the ground! Wow! What a difference a few weeks makes! This first picture was taken June 16th and the last one was just a few weeks ago! Now I am fighting the deer just to keep the garden! We have been eating corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas, beans, onions, beets, swiss chard, and raspberries! We decided to add more garden this year, I guess to feed the deer! I will miss this beautiful place! Sorry I have the same picture of the garden in this post also! I don't know how to delete one!

Sunday

Beets Beautiful Beets!

Grandma and I decided we would can some beets for us to enjoy! So on sat. morning bright and early we went to work! It was so fun to have her come and work with me. We have always been such great friends. I will forever love her! John and I decided to extend our garden this year and plant MORE! What were we thinking! I guess we do feed the deer also! They have been eating the tomatoes and have eaten almost all of the peppers! So much for my Salsa garden! Tay chases them away on some nights, other nights he just lets them have what they want! Stinkin deer! Thanks mom for the help!
