Caught sleeping!

While in Michigan Sophie wanted to borrow my camera - this is what her an Nora were up to!

First of all the classic photo shot of the camera girl!
Nora going in for the sneak wake up grandpa surprise.
Grandpa caught sleeping, but what they thought was that he had his finger in his nose!
The jump!
Of course grandpa got a good tickling from Nora! Which he loved every minute of!
We miss those kids!

Sunday

Merry Christmas from Michigan!

We had such a great time spending Christmas with Brian, Lexie , Sophie, Nora and Miles!

What a great family they are. Miles loves his cars and he ALWAYS has one in his hand. He is so adorable and has grown so much. He heard Grandpa walk in the room one day and just threw what we were doing and ran to him calling "Pa! mon" Of course John loved that!
We brought a coconut from Hawaii to the kids, it was pretty interesting, but not a huge success!
We did get to go to the BIGGEST Christmas store EVER! It is called Bronners and it is HUGE! We all picked out an ornament to take home and the kids sat onthe REAL Santas lap. The place was just awesome.
The decorations everywhere were really neat and big. I think they have everything Christmas at this store.
Doing the Nativity, my favorite part of Christmas. I loved it when my kids were little and acted out the Nativity and then when they got big and still acted it out for me! Some of my most precious memories!
Christmas was so nice being with family! It is just not the same without children around!

Happy 10th Anniversary for us!

We just spent the first part of December in Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary! It was so GREAT! We really were trying to think of ways to stay, except of course that our kids would all be so far away!

It is always so hard for me to travel in December. We have been planning this trip for a year now and of course the closer it got the more stressed out I was getting. December is always so busy with Christmas. John was pretty patient with me, mostly, he would try and talk about the trip and I was always too busy!

When I finally could do no more about Christmas I told John I just wanted to sit and do nothing once we got there and we shouldn't try and do everything. Boy was I dreaming! We wanted to do EVERTYHING! It was the best vacation I have ever had. It is so beautiful there and so peaceful. We spent a few days in Honololu and went to the Polynisian Center and the Temple grounds, it was closed for the past year! Then we spent the rest of the time in Kauai, the garden island. We went snorkling, kayacking, hiking, swimming in a 125 foot waterfall, siteseeing, walking the town, going to church, watching the 50 foot waves, the highest they have been in 30 years! We spent time on the beaches just watching the waves, watching the sun come up and then driving to the other side of the island and watching the sun go down! We drove as far as the road would take us on both sides of the island. We have never seen anything so beautiful.
At the Polynisian Center John went up and helped out the Tongan guys, ya I pointed to him, it was so shocking to me how he decided to just get into the whole thing! He played the drums with the guys and did their hoots and hollers with them. It was hillarous! Everyone just cracked up. I was laughing so hard I couldn't run the camera! the rest of the day everyone would say to him "good job Colorado!" He was quite the ham! It was truly a vacation we want to do again!
