We will miss this place!

Well it is time to post about our big move!

For those of you who don't know John has a job change and we will be going to Denver, Co. It is an exciting time for us but a very emotional time also. We live in the house of our dreams and love the people here and everything about our little town of Preston, Idhao! Our families all love it here and we have made some GREAT memories in the short seven years we have lived here! We have worked really hard to get our home and yard to the stage it is in. When we came here there was NO YARD and the basement was UNFINISHED!  I look out at this beautiful place and can't help but be just a little bit proud of our hard work! Our kids have helped so much with different projects and made this your home too. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We have had lots of fun being together and we will miss this wonderful place we all call home!
We hope each of you will remember the great times and forgive us for moving away! I PROMISE our new home in Colorado will become home to each of you also! You have all moved so far away and we don't get to see you enough!  Hopefully this move will allow us to come see you!  We love the memories we have made here and we will miss it dearly! Thank goodness the grasshoppers are REALLY bad right now and I WON"T miss them! (they make me want to move). The deer are eating my garden and I was stung by a wasp! The yard is really full of weeds and it is really dry! Sound like reason enough to move? NOT!

Tuesday

How times flies!

It is amazing to me how summer seems to fly by! It seems like just the other day I was planting the garden and anxiously awaiting the tiny plants to pop out of the ground! Wow! What a difference a few weeks makes! This first picture was taken June 16th and the last one was just a few weeks ago! Now I am fighting the deer just to keep the garden! We have been eating corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas, beans, onions, beets, swiss chard, and raspberries! We decided to add more garden this year, I guess to feed the deer! I will miss this beautiful place! Sorry I have the same picture of the garden in this post also! I don't know how to delete one!

Sunday

Beets Beautiful Beets!

Grandma and I decided we would can some beets for us to enjoy! So on sat. morning bright and early we went to work! It was so fun to have her come and work with me. We have always been such great friends. I will forever love her! John and I decided to extend our garden this year and plant MORE! What were we thinking! I guess we do feed the deer also! They have been eating the tomatoes and have eaten almost all of the peppers! So much for my Salsa garden! Tay chases them away on some nights, other nights he just lets them have what they want! Stinkin deer! Thanks mom for the help!

Tuesday

OH the JOYS of SUMMER!  I have been canning jam for a couple of days, well before work and after work! I have made Apricot, Hucklberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, and a new Tripleberry! I think I have enough jam for a YEAR or TWO!  I do love to can and I do love summer!

Sunday

The TREK

This entailed quite a bit different responsibilities. We were excited to accept - we no longer had to be in CHARGE of making sure the kids had fun - we now got to be some of those HAVING fun! It was a welcome change for us! John HATES planning and playing games!

This is our family we spent the next 4 days with! We had 3 girls and 3 boys! Each  of us had to stay together and work together pushing and pulling the handcart. It was ALOT of hard work, but so worth the time! We had a really wonderful experience and would do it again!

Thursday

Maddies photo's

Maddie had such a fun time with the camera! She did an awesome job too!  The picture of Chole is the only one not taken by her! She took the rest ALL by herself! I think she need a camera don't you? Good job Maddie!

Moscow trip

We actually did something spontaneous! After a dissapointing week and feeling pretty discouraged, we decided Thursday after work to go and see Aaron and Hannah and the kids!We made it as far as Rupert to Richard's and spent the night there. We spent the first half of the day driving and driving and driving and then more driving to Moscow! What a long way you are  Johnsons! It was a beautiful trip with lots of traffic. The road was PRETTY windy but well worth every second of it!  We had a yummy dinner and then drove and  watched the fireworks in Pullman,Washington. We were plenty early so we had lots of time to play! the kids were so cute! Chloe has grown up so much. Corey and Maddie loved the fireworks and playing with Gampy! Sat. we went to the Farmers Market. It was pretty interesting! It was fun just hanging out! We also went and saw Aaron's art studio at the college. Sunday afternoon we went to a tree park, (I can't remember the real name) and had a picinic. It was so pretty. Maddie had a fun time taking pictures with my camera! She did a great job.  We were talking in the car and Maddie hear us say we will be moving, she said" you can move here!" I told her Grandpa needed a job first. She then said in her very grown-up way, "Well I heard Wallmart is hireing!" It was so cute! I guess we could both be greeters! Any way, we had a great time in Moscow! Thanks Johnsons! We love you all and miss you already!
